I left Cyprus for the UK and Uganda in April as the bee eaters were arriving from their winter migration and yesterday I heard the first few arriving back and stopping over to rest and feast on the bugs and bees that are kicked up in the fields as the farmers bale up their grass for the oncoming winter.
