You are not a failure because you failed

I've missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed. Michael Jordan

Say "YES" to standing up and trying again and again until you achieve your dreams is not easy. The easy option is to quit. Or even worse be scared to try in case you fail.

You are not a failure because you failed. Failure is only when you allow yourself to be defeated by failures and refuse to stand up again.

As we age, we slowly lose our sense of wonder, our courage and our open minds and heart. We overthink so many things, often scaring us into not even trying. Self limiting thoughts can keep us firmly in our comfort zone. The voice that whispers in your ear "can't, shouldn't, don't" Speaks to you in a way you would barely speak to a friend.

As I am getting older I try to have an open wise mind, a kind heart, but maintain a sense of wonder and magic. This does not mean wandering aimlessly with no sensible direction or goal but rather being open to learning new things and experiencing new adventures.

No one is free of failures. It's ok to fall, in fact it's boring to be perfect. If you fall experience the shock, fear, embarrassment and pain then laugh at yourself, celebrate your courage for trying, shake it off, smile, stand up and try again. Every obstacle or challenge is merely an opportunity for growth an opportunity to propel you towards your dreams.

So remember, no one is ever a failure, and no dream is ever beyond reach. Today let me remind you that YOU hold within you the power to achieve all that your mind and heart seeks. Ask yourself "what do I achieve by giving up?"

Now go spread a little kindness, be happy, and conquer your dreams.
